Five students of F/16 Schule für Fotografie in Berlin, under guidance of the professor and art critic Luca Panaro and the mentor Martina della Valle, interpreted the notion of “landscape” liberally, each with their own take on the theme. Some preferred a more metaphorical reading, others used a more scientific approach.
Some of the artists stuck their hands in the ground as they smelled the aromas and tasted the flavors of the wine. Others gathered their materials in situ together with their notes and sensations before reconstructing and imagining stories. Each chose the medium with which they felt most comfortable as they recounted their experiences and impressions of the landscape they had visited.
